Israeli occupation forces arrest Palestinian doctor Mazen al-Rantisi in dawn Ramallah raid

Israeli occupation forces arrested Palestinian doctor Mazen al-Rantisi at dawn few days ago, after raiding his home in Ramallah’s al-Tira neighborhood. They gave no reason for the arrest and did not say where he had been taken.

The arrest set off anger and solidarity online, where many called him “the doctor of the poor.”

For decades, al-Rantisi was known across the West Bank’s cities and villages for treating low-income patients. He charged a token fee, far below what other doctors asked. Those who could not afford treatment got free consultations and help.

His family and supporters are demanding his immediate release. They call it the arbitrary and unlawful arrest of a man in a humanitarian profession.
