Ola Abdel Nasser Qutaishat, 16, has lost about three kilograms in a week and cries all day. Her lawyer visited her at Damon Prison and told her family she is in very poor psychological condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her family in Tammun, in the Tubas district, told the Prisoners’ Media Office that the prison administration held her in solitary confinement for two nights. The cell measured one meter by one meter. The reason: she read the Quran and observed her religious rites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ola now shares a single cell with Nada Bani Odeh, 17, another girl from Tammun. Cameras watch the two of them 24 hours a day. Guards allow five minutes in the bathroom and stand over them for all five. The food is so bad the girls never eat it. Neither is allowed out for the daily yard time with the other women prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cell crawls with insects and spiders. Rats too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was arrested on May 24, 2026. A new trial is set for July 28, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her family has been frightened for her since word came back from the lawyer. They say she needs her community behind her now.
